Power Engineering Construction Company was chosen as the contractor to replace the 22 year old navigational aids currently at Oyster Point Marina. They are maintained by the District and are installed to provide boaters with visible channel markers allowing for safe entry to the Marina. The pilings showed signs of severe deterioration. Exposure to the elements have resulted in the stabilization cables being rusted through and wood boring organisms have led to significant rotting of the pilings. Work will begin soon to replace these.
