Leo Padreddii was first elected as Commissioner in November 1995, and was re-elected every year, four terms, until his passing in 2013.  He served in every postion on the Harbor Commission.


Born and raised in San Mateo County, Mr. Padreddii has been Mayor, City Councilman, and Planning Commissioner of the City of South San Francisco. He was intensively involved in the initial development of the Oyster Point Marina/Park, now administered for the City by the Harbor District under a Joint Powers Agreement which Mr. Padreddii also helped to draft. 


Mr. Padreddii served as co-chairman of the Joint Harbor District/South San Francisco Water Transit Fact-Finding Panel, created to develop the basis for establishing San Francisco Bay ferry and water taxi services at Oyster Point Marina/Park. These services will provide a needed alternative to increasingly difficult highway travel around and across the Bay. 


Mr. Padreddii's 32 years of city and state law enforcement experience, included FBI training at the CHP Academy, and alcoholic beverage control investigator. Padreddii has also served on the South San Francisco School Board for nine years, including two as Chairman, and also served on the San Mateo County Fair Board.
